RHA School Atelier Programme RHA Studio Programme Drawing Marathons		RHA School Atelier Programme The RHA School will be launched in 2011. Until the School opens, an Atelier Programme is in operation. Mick O’Dea RHA is the RHA School Principal Elect. The Principal of the School is responsible for the running and administration of the School. Until the School is fully launched, the Principal is overseeing the operations of the RHA School Atelier Programme and is working with the RHA School Board to develop the School’s mission statement, curriculum and education policies. The RHA School Atelier Programme has three strands to it; the studio programme, the drawing marathons and the lecture series. RHA Studio Programme For the duration of the Atelier Programme, artists have been invited to use the four new studios in what will become the RHA School for up to three-months at a time. To date Gillian Lawler, David O’Kane, Veronica Bolay RHA, Jonathon Hunter, Brian Bourke HRHA, Keith Wilson, Bennie Reilly, Clifford Collie, Nathalie du Pasquier, Aidan Bradley, Michelle Considine and Colin Martin ARHA have had residencies, with Ann Quinn, Francis Matthews, Sinead Ní Mhaonaigh, Gary Coyle RHA, Mark Joyce and Eithne Jordan ARHA to avail of the studios by the end of the year. This studio programme continues into 2010. Drawing Marathons The RHA School is delighted to present an open call to artists to participate on one of our upcoming drawing marathon weeks. Three drawing marathons will be held, one a month in March, April and May 2010. Each drawing marathon will take place in the new drawing studio in the RHA. Places are limited to 24 artists per marathon and are aimed towards professional artists wishing to develop their drawing skills in a concentrated and informed environment, specifically looking at drawing from life models. The dates for the next three marathons are: Marathon 1: 22nd – 26th March Marathon 2: 26th – 30th April Marathon 3: 31st May – 4th June Each drawing marathon runs from 10am – 5pm from Monday- Friday. The fee for each drawing marathon week is €250 per person. A Member of the RHA or specially invited artist will facilitate each day. Priority will be given to artists wishing to participate for the full week, however subject to demand, there may be spaces available for artists wishing to participate for a selection of days, or one or a half day. Deposits are required to secure a place and full payment must be received before each marathon commences. Payments can be made by cash, cheque or credit card.
