Academy member - Tony Kilduff HRHA
 



Tony Kilduff was born in 1951 and grew up on a farm near Clonmacnoise, Co. Offaly. He graduated with a B. Comm from UCD in 1971. He then spent eight years in financial management with Coats Viyella PLC which enabled him to live in the U.K., Colombia, Australia, Canada and Belgium.

He has lived in Ireland since 1979 when he returned to establish Kindle. This company specialised in software for the overseas operations of international banks and had customer installations in 56 countries when sold in 1992.

Since 1992 he has managed investments in early stage businesses in technology and other areas and established several property investment funds.

He has chaired Cappagh Hospital Trust from its beginning in 1988 to 2006 at which time he became Chairman of Cappagh Hospital.

Since the late eighties he has pursued art collecting. At first he specialised in late nineteenth century and early twentieth century Irish Art. He has since moved on to become an avid collector of contemporary art, both Irish and International.

He chaired the Programme Board of the RHA from its beginning in 2001 until 2008. He now chairs the Patrons Board of the RHA.
